North Rocks is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. North Rocks is located 26 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of The Hills Shire, in the Hills District. North Rocks residents have given the suburb a liveability rating of 94%.
Westfield North Rocks and the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children school are located around North Rocks Road. The shopping centre features Franklins, a Coles Supermarket, Kmart discount department store and specialty shops. An additional development located beside the shopping centre features an Aldi supermarket, Reject Shop, First Choice Liquor and Nando's Restaurant. A small group of shops is also located on the opposite side, at the intersection of North Rocks Road and Lawndale Avenue.
There is a light industrial area towards North Parramatta. The M2 Hills Motorway runs through North Rocks, with access via Pennant Hills Road at Carlingford and Windsor Road in Baulkham Hills. Public transport to, from and throughout the area is provided by bus. North Rocks does not have a railway station, however, train services are accessible from nearby Carlingford, Epping and Parramatta railway stations. Limited services run on the former, while the latter two stations enjoy a very frequent service throughout the day.
Public schools include North Rocks Public School, Burnside Public School and Muirfield High School. Private schools in the area include Christ the King School, The King's School and Tara Anglican School for Girls.
Public services in the suburb include a number of large reserves, sporting facilities, a community centre, active Rotary and Lions clubs, as well as Scout and Girl Guide groups. North Rocks also boasts an 18 hole competition Golf Course and club facilities. There is also a local soccer and rugby club.
